Depelling -- face first rappelling over a gorge in New Brunswick, Canada. Probably the scariest thing I have ever done.

Canyoneering -- Aron Ralston gave this sport a black eye when he got stuck in a canyon and had to cut off his arm to get free. Fortunately, not all canyoneering trips end this badly, but they are still dramatic, if only for the sheer beauty of the canyons, and the effort it takes to see them.
