Building productive and harmonious teams is every business leader’s goal, yet too often “people problems” are chronic, and teambuilding efforts yield so-so results. But building harmonious and productive teams is Janice’s specialty. Her unique Teambuilding & Communication K.I.T. helps you create effective, dynamic teams with a foundation built on:
K.nowledge Discovering your primary work/communication style; how it drives you; how it holds you back.
I.nsight Learning how to recognize other communication/workstyles, and the particular strengths they contribute to the team.
T.ools Utilizing new ways of communicating with other workstyles in order to get the very best from them.
The K.I.T is distinctive: it goes beyond self-awareness (important) into group awareness (crucial). Knowledge is power, and armed with new information about themselves and each other, team members spend more time focusing on productive work and less time on personality issues.
Addressing the opportunities and challenges that arise from employee communication styles, Janice helps companies develop cohesive, effective teams that focus on productivity, not on each other. Clients range from non-profit organizations, legal firms, health care systems and leadership groups to individuals looking to enhance their personal effectiveness in business and relationships.
Participants will learn:
Their dominant workstyle (Knowledge)
Their untapped workstyle and underutilized skills
How their dominant workstyle helps and how it hinders
How to recognize every other workstyle (Insight)
How to effectively interact with every other workstyle for maximum productivity (Tools)
Why gossip and assumptions will poison the team
Why the Teambuilding K.I.T. is so effective:
You’ll build a foundation for your team so that every subsequent team activity will be like adding bricks. The team gets stronger
Everyone wants to be valued, understood and respected. The Teambuilding K.I.T. enhances everyone’s understanding of themselves and each other
Communication is the consistent theme in the Teambuilding K.I.T. Effective communication is often the number one challenge in the workplace
The optional “Working Agreement” is a window into the existing culture. It’s a great way to understand where your team needs you to lead them

Depending on the size of your group, a K.I.T. session requires four to six hours -- perfect for a team building day. The optional Working Agreement can usually be accomplished in half the time, depending on circumstances. The payoff for this small investment of time is huge! Here's what people have to say:
"Recently, Janice Booth coordinated a 2-part retreat for our office, including physicians and staff. The KIT helped us evaluate our particular personality traits and how they affect the overall work climate in our office. The working agreement dealt with specific aspects of the business that could be improved by better teamwork and communication by all of us. There was good give and take, which Janice facilitated well. Janice was professional, pleasant, and efficient and I would recommend her to anyone or business who might need this type of assistance." Dr. Richard E. Akers, MD, Carolina Eye Care, Gastonia, NC
